Carnival cups.

In keeping with the Pee Wee Herman Carnival collection. 

Hand painted bunting cups. All $10 each and all to be at the markets this weekend. My lovely friend Alex will be running my Ruby Square stall, Saturday 9-1 (Mt Eden) and I'll be there on Sunday at the Devonport Craft Market. Hope you can make it to one of the two.

My sweet farfalle.

Of all the pasta shapes, farfalle is by far my favourite, it's followed me my whole life (if a pasta can do that?) and here she is popping up again. I'd love a farfalle ring or shoe, ridiculous but true.

I received a great package from Nut and Bee today, I am trying to get my Christmas shopping in early and got a few things for friends from Annette. She is so lovely, even included some extra paper and Christmas stickers which will look so great on the wrapping.

Here are some of the goodies I got, among others (I wish I could take a photo of them all together but as I said the camera is 'out of order' for awhile), as I'm pretty sure the friends they are going to don't spend too much time on the blog.

Sao Paulo, Brasil. 

After a long (ish by Brasil standards) bus ride, we made it to Sao Paulo, the city of highrises. As far as the eye can see.

Cajú fruit at Sao Paulo's central food market. Our friend told all the market stall holders that we were from New Zealand and had never seen most of this fruit before. We were bombarded with tasters, thanks Eduardo!

Tobacco rolls at the same Mercado Municipal.

A friend just said to me 'Thank you for existing.'

I think that is the nicest thing anyone has said to me. Or it's right up there in 

the top 5.

So I pass the nice message on, 'Thank you to those who read my two cents, thank you for existing!'  Have lovely days!

The weekend.

It was a mad weekend and not a single photo to show for it, my camera is in being fixed (I hope!). I crafted like mad, spent time with family, ate radishes with a french man, put my stall up and thanks to mum it came down at a beautiful market, swiped all the tasters from the chocolatier and french sweet extraordinaire my stomach and their kindness could take and sang loudly in the theatre watching Michael Jackson's final masterpiece.

It was hectic but it was nice. Ahead is a week of hard work but for now.

Rio de Janeiro, Carnaval Street Block.

Learning how to holla like a real indian, but clearly not having a bar of it.

At least some form of ridiculous costume, hence present red noses, confetti, samba, large body of people and being asked for a kiss at every corner. I think my dears you've found yourselves in a carnaval block.

Sale St.

The Sale St markets are on this weekend (and every weekend) and I'm giving them a go! Said to be a lively colourful market with local boutique food products, fashion, interior homeware, jewellery, art and much more. Sounds right up my alley.

I'm looking forward to Pukeko Bakery's fresh bread and pastries. I'm a sucker for pastries.
