Inhotim

This weekend past I went on an adventure to Inhotim. A art park in another state, Minas Gerais. Here is a video of the making of one of the sculptures we saw, the Beam Drop.
I imagined we looked like this.

But really we just looked liked this.

Zerezes.

These are Zerezes. I work with these wonderful men here in Rio and they make these wonderful sunglasses. The wood used is collected from the street and transformed into these beauties, they laser into the arm of each pair exactly where the wood was found and spend hours sanding and perfecting each piece. I've seen them in action.

They are pretty dam cool.

My new city.

Eats.

I cannot wait to try these ginger and lemon snack balls and this coconut, sultana and lemon loaf. Yorm!

Both sound outrageously good and both are from Bonnie Delicious. Finding the ingredients I know from home here hasn't been completely straight forward but I'm getting the hang out it slowly. Somethings are oddly much more expensive but then some things (like passionfruit!) are so so incredibly cheap so I can't complain!
