EC.

I tried my hand at writing in the last few weeks, to contribute my two cents about The Wet Hot Beauties for Ellie's incredible magazine. Extra Curricular is about to hit the shelves. See what the lady herself has to say about it below.

Get ready for Extra Curricular Issue 5 ... you can pre-order a copy online (on Feltor Big Cartel) to have it posted hot off the press on March 29th, or pop into one of the lovely retailers listed on the Extra Curricular blog

The Autumn issue has a ceramics featurette including an interview with Golden Ink Collaborative - Abby Seymour from Golden Ink did the beautiful cover illustration. There is an article about crafters who are ‘mad keen’, a piece on the latest craze to hit Auckland - synchronised swimming, interviews with Spiro Creations, The Bread & Butter Letter and plenty more. You’ll notice a few extras this issue, including a recipe from the Martha Goes Green crew, a fashion spread by Jessica from The Little Look See and a tutorial by Melissa from Tiny Happy.
Have a lovely Autumn!

Feliz CumpleaƱos.

Today is my very good friend Snoopy's birthday. He's very far away but very dear to me so a big old happy birthday to you sir.

I wish I was there to return this radness for you.

Flashion mob.

I just got sent the video of Stolen Girlfriends Club's 'flashion mob'- they took over New World, Freemans Bay yesterday and I wish I could have been there. I'm all for fashion and mobs. Good job chaps.

Have looky here if you are interested.

Ah Mexicans.

If you are not the best, you're just about it.

Parserisas, a 56-year-old newspaper seller from Mexico, revealed his inked artwork in a photo shoot in Valparaiso city.

He has so far spent a million Mexican pesos (just over £51,000) for the 82 tattoos. The newspaper vendor's obsession with tattoos of Roberts started after he watched her in Erin Brockovich.

The American actress is tattooed all over Mr Parserisas' body in artwork inspired by a number of scenes from the film.

The Roberts fanatic has said that he has plans to get more faces inked on his chest, back and arms.
As long as he has the space on his body and the money, his tattoo tribute will continue.

Photo and text from here.

One after another.

It seems like there just one devastation after another. Sometimes the right words are impossible to find so all I suggest is it buy this print- or simply make a donation.

Help Japan, and my thoughts are with everyone struggling at this time. Near and far.

Some photos of the lovely market that was, Devonport Craft Market, on the weekend.

A delicious fruitcake ball kept me going, thanks Nicole! You are quite the talent! Below, the bits and bobs on my stall.

Some new necklaces, just two of the lot.

Emma-Janes amazing balloon badges.

I accosted this poor girl for street style, what a stunner. I did learn her name, but I'm terrible with them, Brooke? Yee gawd. And she bought something from zee stall! Thank you!

The emptied market just before pack up.

Andrew Miksys.

Takes photos I like. This bingo series below shot in the USA I love.

And this bus series too. All so grand.

And the Roma series also can't be missed. I love the story of this photograph. Ah and the disco series, I like it all.

“BAXT is a Roma (Gypsy) word that translates to English as fate or fortune.  This is Spartak (Spartacus). I photographed him in a very small Lithuanian village where there is only one Roma family.  I had set my camera up to photograph the doorway of the house with the lace curtain and little heart drawings on the door, when Spartak stepped in front of my camera wanting to be photographed.  I really liked the contrast between his tough guy poses and the flowered curtain and hearts.  I ended up shooting several rolls of film.  Spartak was named after a soldier sold into slavery to fight as a gladiator but escaped to lead a successful slave rebellion against the Romans.  During the Soviet Union this was a popular name, a metaphor for the working class which was also freed from its “chains.”  Of course, the Roma are another historically beaten and battered people, but their pride and strength has helped them survive and keep their culture alive.”

News.

Some one called 'I'm revolting' is now following my pinterest. I quite like that.
