To market, to market.

It was Devonport Craft Market yesterday and boy, it was a good one. I refrained from buying anything this time- which was a mighty effort and I managed to get a few street style shots too!

The view from my stall, well standing on my stalls chair.

It's a 5 hour market so the 'Back in 5' sign is used often.

Some incredible hats from Baha Coca. For the big and small.

Sweet Surrender's goodies. A close-up below for the great baroque patterns on top.

The owl army on my stall.

I gave in and got one of Sweet Surrender's Arabian Night treats. So, so good.

And below the poor people I jumped on for street style.

A great day indeed. Hope you all enjoyed your weekends and hope to see you at the next market!

To drool over.

Oh! I just saw that Bona Drag have the beaut Osborn shoes I'd love to own. They are the mystic jazzies, aren't they rad? Although a new pair of Toms is first on the list.

And did you see this on Etsy Finds? I wonder if there is an instructables somewhere. It's too great for words, I'd happily babysit a scooter till the child arrived.

Say no to shoes.

Leave your shoes behind tomorrow folks, it's Toms One Day Without Shoes. Well it's actually going on right now in the US, so I should have done it today but I forgot and perhaps if you have too go to work tomorrow shoeless to make up for it. As I intend to! I'm barefoot right now though, as soon as I remembered I threw my shoes out the window.

Thought this photo was appropriate as Rosemary is in her Toms and I'm in bare feet!

As promised.

Some of the map cuts I completed over the Easter break. Plus some new owls finally on Etsy! My other online shops will finally be stocked again soon too.

And a peek at the owls you'll find in the shop, see right!

Joyeuses Pâques!

It has been a lovely Easter weekend, I hope you all enjoyed yours too. I got on top of many map cuts, I entertained foreign guests, I ate delicious food, saw old and new friends, spent a painful amount on a second-hand lens for my camera,  got out of the city and celebrated my lovely man's birthday. The big 30!

Thought I would share some pictures, and tomorrow I hope to post images of all those map cuts I did.

We entertained our foreign guests, two french, at Bethells Beach and the lake there. My, my it is a wonderful place, it feels otherworldly and even when there is a lot of people there the place is so large it feels like not many at all.

Down at the beach we dined at Bethells Beach Cafe. You must try the Garden Party Burger if you're about the place and their open. Too good to miss. We got there just in the nick of time.

With French in tow we also made it to La Cigale, the French market here in Auckland. This incredible cheese was a gift from the visitors and I also found some fresh figs there too. Throw in some hand picked apples from Hastings, my breakfast the next day was set.

And some aftermath shots of the small 30th floor party. We all just sat around on the floor, ate, drank, ate some more and sang a almost in tune 'Happy Birthday' along with firework-type candles.

And I also had a go at starting an wedding invite design.

Hope everyone enjoyed their break as much as I did! Joyeuses Pâques!

Welly, you're so swelly!

I went to so wonderful, Wellington a few weeks ago. Boy, oh boy do I love that town. It never lets me down. A friend and I went, and we only made it there on our second attempt. The first, our car broke down outside of Tokoroa- which didn't turn out too bad. We had a poor wee kitten with us who was a dream companion, as was my friend and so many amazing strangers came to our rescue. A mention must be made to my good friend, who drove the 3 hours to collect us when we heard the car would take a week and $1900 to fix. Plus Tokoroa is bursting with opshops, I think we counted 6 in total of which 3 were open and one giant Save Mart.

I collected a pile of goodies, much to our saviours disgust but we managed to get it all back to Auckland.

Take two, the next weekend. I was lucky enough to look after the sweetheart kitten for the week between, and he was driven down with his new owner the same day we flew. So he drove and we flew you ask? Bad planning. In Wellington we stayed with our amazing friends, one of which owns the mighty Swonderful store on Victoria St.

Wellington delivered.

Incredible descending views.

Blanket man, who has his own Wikipedia!

Great food with great friends in their beautiful home.

A happy kitten, who made friends pretty quick.

Moore Wilson's where I picked up this beauty!

Lots of wind.

And quirky cafes.

A Swonderful store that I wanted to take home with me, and I delivered them some sweet new owls.

And we even saw this happy fence.

Oh and plenty of Bret and Jemaine sightings to boot! A perfect break. It makes working over the Easter break taste less sour. Thanks Gin and Rom!

Feeling peckish.

Victoria n' Bird just uploaded some lovely new pieces to her Etsy shop. I, for one, would love this sweet skirt in my wardrobe. Look at that hem!
