Joyeuses Pâques!

It has been a lovely Easter weekend, I hope you all enjoyed yours too. I got on top of many map cuts, I entertained foreign guests, I ate delicious food, saw old and new friends, spent a painful amount on a second-hand lens for my camera,  got out of the city and celebrated my lovely man's birthday. The big 30!

Thought I would share some pictures, and tomorrow I hope to post images of all those map cuts I did.

We entertained our foreign guests, two french, at Bethells Beach and the lake there. My, my it is a wonderful place, it feels otherworldly and even when there is a lot of people there the place is so large it feels like not many at all.

Down at the beach we dined at Bethells Beach Cafe. You must try the Garden Party Burger if you're about the place and their open. Too good to miss. We got there just in the nick of time.

With French in tow we also made it to La Cigale, the French market here in Auckland. This incredible cheese was a gift from the visitors and I also found some fresh figs there too. Throw in some hand picked apples from Hastings, my breakfast the next day was set.

And some aftermath shots of the small 30th floor party. We all just sat around on the floor, ate, drank, ate some more and sang a almost in tune 'Happy Birthday' along with firework-type candles.

And I also had a go at starting an wedding invite design.

Hope everyone enjoyed their break as much as I did! Joyeuses Pâques!
